The 2011 Equestrian Life Ridden & In Hand Showing Championship Qualifiers
The Championship Show will again be held at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham Lincolnshire on Sunday 11th September 2011 which will include the very popular evening performance. All qualifiers are run under Equestrian Life Rules and a full copy is available at the secretaries’ caravan. All competitors must have their registration card to enter ELQ classes and must produce this is the ring for signing for the qualification to be valid. The top three in each class with a card who have not previously qualified will qualify for the championships.

Please note that ONLY Veteran Horse Society Members are eligible to compete in the Regional Championship. Qualification cards will ONLY be given to the first 3 members with their VHS membership cards/Horse Registration cards/covering letter from the show office. The Regional winners will go on to compete at the Veteran Horse Society Showing LTD Championship Supreme Final at the London International Horse Show at Olympia in December. Bright Stars Performance Supreme

**These classes allow ponies and riders to be unregistered with the BSPS and still qualify for our main BSPS Summer Championship Show in August without Becoming Members.
The Final will be held at the BSPS Summer Championships with rosettes for all finalists and sashes for the winners. The Bright Stars Performance Supreme will be judged on the Saturday Evening in the Finale with a sought after Flowered Sash to the Supreme. The wearing of spurs is allowed in these classes but no child under the age of 14 years old may wear them.
This class will be split at the Championships into the following sections:
    a) Small Hunter to exceed 148cms but not to exceed 158cms
    b) Lightweight Hunter
    c) Heavyweight Hunter

For Horses 148cms and over, open to mare or gelding, four years old and over.

THIS CLASS AT THE CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE JUDGED IN THE EVENING PERFORMANCE. ALL COMPETITORS WHO QUALIFY WILL COMPETE UNDER THE SPOTLIGHTS
Open to horses and ponies, mare or gelding, four years old and over. Rider’s any age.
To be Ridden astride or side saddle, Costumes or traditional allowed. To be judged on the overall picture of elegance presented by horse/pony and rider including appearance, conformation, and individual show. Judge may not ask for an individual show at their discretion.
This class will be split at the Championships into the following sections:

  1. Junior 16 years old and under to include Lead Rein competitors
  2. Senior over 16 years old
